Maintenance & Repairs

Atlantic is sensitive to each customer's needs, and tailors routine and preventative maintenance programs that are right for you: For the cooling tower that is in operation only during the cooling season, we offer our "Seasonal Package." This maintenance program consists of on-site service calls scheduled at the start-up, mid-point, and shut-down at the end of the season. For the continuous running towers, we offer the "On-Call Service Program." Each contract is specifically designed for our customer's time frame, requirements, and budget.
Fabrication Services
In response to the current business climate, many manufacturers are reducing their production output in an effort to streamline and minimize inventory. This often means longer lead times and higher prices for the end user. Our fabrication facility eliminates both problems, offering a key advantage in these challenging economic times. Atlantic fabricates exactly what you need to get your system back on line fast. All orders are custom made for your tower so there is no question about fit. Atlantic has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment for our state-of-the-art fabrication facility and engineering/design departments. This integral part of our operation is another example of the added value Atlantic brings to your organization.
Upgrades & Tower Replacement
At some point, even with proactive maintenance, it will become necessary to upgrade or replace your cooling tower. Our reconstruction specialists have been trained to analyze and assess the condition of your tower and determine what action is needed. Atlantic's skilled engineering and production task force stands ready to provide whatever service is needed, regardless of the manufacturer. Refurbishing your cooling tower allows you to replace the major components and take advantage of breakthroughs in design, technology, and new product efficiency. Your upgrade can include new mechanical equipment, fill and drift eliminators, spray systems, collection basin assemblies, and more. Modernizing your system results in maximized capacity and increased thermal performance, while reducing your overall operating costs.
When upgrading is not an option, Atlantic is also equipped for a seamless replacement of your cooling tower. We manage all the demolition and removals. We can engineer and/or aid in the selection of your new tower to meet your capacity requirements. Installation is completed by either rigging or assembling the new tower on-site.

Welding Services
Atlantic's expert welding team is at your service for a wide range of cooling tower repairs. Our welders are AWS (American Welding Society) certified and hold NYC Fire Department G-95 certifications for Torch Use and F-93 certifications for Fire Guard for Torch Operations. They are proficient with carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, copper, and brass. Whether you have leaks that need to be repaired or internal structures that must be reinforced or even replaced, Atlantic has the hands-on experience that gets the job done. Our welding services include basin assembly repairs, platforms and catwalks, safety cages and handrails, and much more. High Performance Coatings
Corrosion is the main culprit for reducing the life expectancy of your cooling tower. It can be induced by various sources, including chemical, microbiological, or bi-metallic. For years, high performance coatings have been used in the control of corrosion in condenser basins, re-circulating water pumps, drip pans, pipes, and valves. We are committed to providing our customers with quality coatings specially formulated to meet the needs of each application. Atlantic's goal is to help you get the maximum return on your cooling tower investment.
Performance & Diagnostic Testing
Atlantic engineers perform thermal and performance testing to evaluate your cooling towers' capacity and efficiency. Performance tests with accurately calibrated instruments will demonstrate the thermal capability, cell balancing, and pumping conditions of your cooling tower. Diagnostic testing will pinpoint problems before they become critical. This analysis is advised prior to upgrading so you know what additional capacity you can expect, and are able to calculate energy savings from better performance. For our customers who want to use third party agencies to conduct the testing, Atlantic can help. Since all of our equipment is CTI-certified, third parties do not have to bring their own equipment, thereby reducing the overall test cost.
